Service Source edition 1.1.0

Help Center

Give customers a useful place to find answers.

Write help articles in Markdown, review them as owner and publish searchable answers at permanent public URLs. Categories help readers browse, while edits stay private until their replacement revision is approved.

Example scenario

Publish an answer without exposing the draft

Write a Markdown guide for a recurring account question, review it and publish its permanent URL. A later edit stays private until its replacement revision is approved. Customers can browse categories or search the published text.

From setup to the result

  1. Write a draft with a permanent URL slug, summary and category.
  2. Request owner review and approve the current revision.
  3. Publish the article and make it available through browsing and search.
  4. Review later edits before replacing the public version, or unpublish the article.

What the package handles

What you can build with it

  • A public help library with categories and text search.
  • Private article revisions, owner approval and deliberate publication.
  • Crawlable article pages, canonical metadata and an XML sitemap.

Supported behavior

  • Saved private Markdown article revisions
  • Owner review, approval, publication and withdrawal
  • Public category browsing and published-text search
  • Crawlable article HTML, canonical metadata and XML sitemap

Before you choose

Will it fit your project?

Who it is for

  • Businesses answering recurring account or product questions.
  • Support teams maintaining a reviewed library of customer guides.

Runtime and connections

Current packages run on Node.js 22.13+ and PostgreSQL 17. You provide hosting and connect the package to your existing app. The included guide describes the supported integration; this is not a hosted service.

Hosting and PostgreSQL costs are separate from the source purchase. A configured external receiver, if used, has its own requirements and costs.

A useful handoff to your coding agent

How setup works

The source package includes local setup instructions, an integration guide, examples, help articles and verification resources. Your agent can use those files without signing in to a hosted reference page.

  1. Check the requirements. Your agent inspects the application, runtime, database and supported connections before making changes.
  2. Configure your installation. Answer the product-specific questions below, connect your own accounts where needed and retain the configuration privately.
  3. Connect and verify. Use the included checks and a representative workflow, then verify any chosen external service separately before relying on it.

Questions to prepare

  • Which questions should the help library answer, and which categories will readers need?
  • Who writes and approves articles?
  • Which public origin and title should the library use?

What your agent checks

  • Keep a draft out of anonymous search and article reads.
  • Edit a published article and retain its old public revision until replacement approval.
  • Reject stale edits and publication of an unapproved revision.
  • Unpublish and verify that its article URL returns 404 and its sitemap entry is gone.

Scope of this edition

Important limits

Supports 500 articles and 100 saved revisions per article. The Markdown subset escapes raw HTML and MDX. Slugs are permanent; media uploads, custom themes, redirects, scheduling and automatic AI answers are outside this release.

  • 500 articles and 100 revisions per article per installation
  • Markdown subset: paragraphs, headings, bullets, inline emphasis, code and HTTP(S)/relative links
  • No raw HTML, MDX, media uploads, custom themes, scheduling or automatic SEO ranking
  • Slugs are permanent; unpublishing returns 404 and removes sitemap/feed entries

Before you decide

Will this work with my existing app?

The package runs on Node.js 22.13+ and PostgreSQL 17. Your coding agent connects it to your application using the included integration guide and supported interfaces. Check the requirements, supported behavior and limits on this page; compatibility with every framework or hosting provider is not promised.

What will my agent need from me?

Your goals, the relevant app details and permission to configure your own accounts. The setup questions on this page help prepare that handoff. Keep credentials in your own private environment; do not paste secrets into a public support request.

What happens if setup fails?

The package includes verification and troubleshooting resources so your agent can inspect the failure and resume the documented setup. Initial setup and reproducible-defect support lasts 30 days from purchase. The refund policy covers material defects we cannot fix, alongside applicable statutory rights.

Is this a subscription?

Helpful Mods sells the source package once. There is no monthly maintenance subscription or automatic renewal. Hosting and connected services have their own costs. Optional major upgrades require a separate purchase.

Can I buy this now?

Purchases are not open yet. You can inspect the product information and use the library planner while checkout is being prepared. A plan is not an order and does not grant source access.
